SAINT JUDAS, the disciple whom Jesus loved. His beloved SIBLING brother. The TRUE “eyewitness” account writer of the Book of John.

“Then they scoffed, “He’s just the carpenter’s son, and we know Mary, HIS MOTHER, and HIS BROTHERS —James, Joseph, Simon, and JUDAS.” (Not John) Matthew 13:55

“And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.“

Jesus cried out to God in a loud voice,

“Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?”

His Father, replied:

“‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”

A note of importance:

Translators of the King James Version Bible, "Our Authorized Version", took the same name for ONE person in the New Testament, Judas, in Greek that name is "Lούδας" and they created some new characters out of thin air:

Judas (Iscariot) (22x), Juda (Son of Jacob) (7x), Judah (Son of Jacob) (1x), Judas (Son of Jacob) (2x), Judas (Brother of James) (3x), Jude (Brother of James) (1x), Judas Barsabas (3x), Juda (Ancestors of Jesus) (2x), miscellaneous (1x).

King James gave the translators instructions intended to ensure that the new version would CONFORM to the ecclesiology, and reflect the episcopal structure, of the Church of England and its belief in an ordained clergy. Even though the original Greek texts make NO such distinction.

Jesus Appoints the Twelve Disciples: Mark 3:13-19

“Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons. These are the twelve he appointed:

  1. Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter),

  2. James son of Zebedee and his brother

  3. John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means “sons of thunder”),

  4. Andrew,

  5. Philip,

  6. Bartholomew,

  7. Matthew,

  8. Thomas,

  9. James son of Alphaeus,

  10. Thaddaeus, (NOT THE SECOND JUDAS OR JUDE) - Thaddaeus in Greek is Θαδδαῖος totally different from Ἰούδας / Judas

  11. Simon the Zealot and

  12. Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.”

“Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.

These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; 3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.” Matthew 10:1-4

The SMOKING GUN: Who remembers the disciple Levi? A figment of King James imagination:

“After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. “Follow me,” Jesus said to him, and Levi got up, left everything and followed him.”

Luke 5:26-28

Levi is same Greek name as Thaddeus - Θαδδαῖος

CONFORMITY caused this GROSS ERROR:

“Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?” John 14:22

NO - Then “Thaddaeus” said.

Now that that NONSENSE is out of the way:

The Bible gives us the CLUE here. The one who “ASKS” is the one “whom he loved”.

“Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved was following them. This was THE ONE who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and ASKED “Lord, WHO is going to betray you?” John 21:20

Then the ANSWER here:

“He replied, “One of you who has just eaten from this bowl with me will betray me. For the Son of Man must die, as the Scriptures declared long ago. But how terrible it will be for the one who betrays him. It would be far better for that man if he had never been born!”

At that, Judas, who was indeed planning to betray Him ASKED, It’s not me, Master, is it?

Jesus said: I believe you’ve just answered your own question.” Matthew 26:23-25

Judas, the disciple whom he loved, the brother of Jesus. The mystery of this verse now is clearly solved.

“Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman, here is your son,” and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.” John 19:25-27

The book of John does not mention Judas killing himself like some of the other Gospels do. However, the other Gospels clearly show he was remorseful and he repented for what he had done.

“Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,  saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? See thou to that.  And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.” Matthew 27:3-5

So after repenting for his sins, Judas finally became a true believer.

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!”

“So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead. Then the disciples went back to where they were staying.” John 20:1-10

More Biblical facts. This verse in Psalms is talking about Judas.

“Even my beloved friend in whom I trusted, who ate of my bread, has lifted his heel against me.” Psalm 41:9

Which is the KEY VERSE for this:

“Now Jesus was deeply troubled, and he exclaimed, “I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me!”

The disciples looked at each other, wondering whom he could mean. The disciple Jesus loved was sitting next to Jesus at the table. Simon Peter motioned to him to ask, “Who’s he talking about?” So that disciple leaned over to Jesus and ASKED, “Lord, who is it?”

Jesus responded, “It is the one to whom I give the bread I dip in the bowl.” And when he had dipped it, he gave it to Judas.” John 13:21-36

MORE facts. Another KEY VERSE in Psalms confirming Judas as the “beloved” one.

He wore cursing as his garment; it entered into his body like water, into his bones like oil. May it be like a cloak wrapped about him, like a belt tied forever around him. (Hanging) May this be the Lord’s payment to my accusers to those who speak evil of me.” Psalm 109:18-20

This verse tells of Judas being REDEEMED.

“Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off ) and jumped into the water.” - John 21:7

This all matches up PERFECTLY with Jesus’s message of hope and redemption.

On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” Mark 2:17

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you only love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Matthew 5:43-48

“Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.” Proverbs 28:13

“But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Matthew 6:15

Yes, even a lying, no good, backstabbing brother, deserves forgiveness.

“For God so loved ALL OF US JUDASES that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

To ALL “self-proclaimed” shepherds, pastors or ANY Bible reader/seeker out there worth ANY SALT…

Will YOU continue… or to give you the benefit of the doubt… will you NOW START to LIE about the Word of God? WILL YOU start or continue to CONFORM to the ways of the world before the rooster crows again?

Will YOU start or continue to be a COWARD?

Whether YOUR blind leading was out of NESCIENCE OR IGNORANCE, does not matter YESTERDAY.

It matters TODAY.

By your fruits, YOU SHALL BE KNOWN.
